I'm originally from Ottawa, the underappreciated capital of Canada. There I studied Drama at Canterbury High School, graduating 2008, before going on to do a joint honours degree in Physics-Mathematics with Coop at the University of Ottawa, from which I graduated with Distinction in 2013. During my undergraduate I worked in laboratories on solar energy, quantum biology, and quantum information/super-resolution imaging at the University of Ottawa, attosecond science at the National Research Council of Canada, and stereochemistry at the University of Frankfurt.

Following my undergrad I obtained an NSERC PGSD scholarship and a Marie Curie PhD Fellowship in order to study at Imperial College London starting in 2013. There I worked in the Laser Consortium on soft X-ray attosecond pulse generation, high harmonic spectroscopy, few-cycle pulse development, and participated in beamtimes at LCLS, SACLA, SOLEIL and Artemis. For this work I was awarded my PhD in 2017. I was also able to undertake an industrial work placement at Coherent Scotland.  From November 2017 to November 2021I held a PROBIST post-doctoral fellowship at ICFO: The Institute of Photonic Sciences, working in the Ultrafast Dynamics of Quantum Solids group on non-linear ultrafast spectroscopy of quantum materials.

I am now a "La Caixa" Junior Leaders postdoctoral fellow at ICFO leading am experimental team studying ultrafast quantum dynamics. We are embedded into the Quantum Optics Theory Group, giving us unparalleled access to theory support for these experiments.
